Icy Haute was the final project for my Fabricademy program. It explored the integration of a phase change material, sodium acetate salt crystals, as a sustainable material for wearable heat. Sodium acetate is typically known as ‘hot ice’ and found in reusable hand warmers. It is made from food-safe ingredients (vinegar and baking soda).
